BIO-TEX SHIELD™ represents a pioneering collaboration between textile leader SINGTEX® and biotechnology champion Modern Meadow,. This concept-driven technology utilizes Modern Meadow’s BIO-ALLOY™—a miscible blend of plant-based protein and biopolymers—to create a high-performance membrane with over 55% bio-based content.
Technological Breakthrough: By utilizing bio-design at the molecular level, the protein-based structure provides high abrasion resistance and enhanced durability.
Eco-Friendly Design : The membrane is engineered to be PFAS/PFC-free and is produced without the use of solvents, offering a sustainable alternative for outerwear applications.
Design Potentia l: This R&D project demonstrates the potential for garment-stage dyeability and a soft, supple hand-feel for future high-performance gear.
S.Café® P4DRY™ Technology : As an extension of our patented coffee yarn technology, P4DRY™ functional printing can be applied to various membranes to enhance moisture-wicking, provide odor control, and ensure a dry, comfortable touch against the skin.
