Cultivating Hope: SINGTEX Marks 16 Years of Sustainability in Yilan

March 14, 2026 | Yilan, Taiwan

As spring renews the land, SINGTEX Industrial Co., Ltd. and the SINGTEX Education Foundation held the 16th Annual “Fu-Tian” (Field of Blessings) Spring Cultivation in Wujie Township, Yilan.

Led by Chairman Jason Chen and Foundation Chairperson AmyLai, the event brought together employees, families, and students from Sanzhi Junior High School to participate in rice planting and hands-on agricultural learning, highlighting SINGTEX’s long-term commitment to sustainability.

Planting hope for a green vision

16 Years of Commitment: From Textile Innovation to Land Stewardship

Since adopting the farmland in 2011, SINGTEX has continued this initiative for 16 consecutive years.

Chairman Chen noted that Yilan, known for its rich agricultural heritage, reflects the deep connection between land and culture. He also recognized the long-term efforts of Mr. Fu-zai Fang, a recipient of Taiwan’s prestigious Shennong Award(National Model Farmer), whose dedication to sustainable farming aligns with SINGTEX’s vision of green manufacturing.

He emphasized that the Fu-Tian initiative is not merely an event, but a journey of local engagement and learning, encouraging participants to reconnect with nature and reflect on how to create a more sustainable future.

Under the expert guidance of Mr. Fu-zai Fang, participants planted rice seedlings into the fields by hand, gaining firsthand insight into the 120 days of dedicated care behind every grain of rice.

Food & Agricultural Education: A Shared Experience Across Generations

This year’s event welcomed students from Sanzhi Junior High School, offering them an opportunity to engage directly with the land.

Chairperson Lai shared that March 14 also marks the 37th anniversary of SINGTEX, making the gathering even more meaningful. She expressed hope that through such experiences, younger generations will carry forward values of environmental respect and sustainability.

She also described each rice seedling planted as a symbolic “birthday candle” for SINGTEX, representing hope, growth, and a shared vision for the future.

Participants also joined a traditional puffed rice activity, experiencing the transformation of rice from grain to food, reinforcing the value of agriculture through sensory learning.

Beyond Innovation: A Human-Centered Sustainability Commitment

“Sustainability is not only about innovation in the lab, it is a commitment to the land and future generations,” Chairman Chen stated.

From developing eco-friendly materials such as S.Café® to long-term engagement through the Fu-Tian initiative, SINGTEX continues to integrate sustainability into both its business strategy and corporate culture.

As the event concluded with shared joy and reflection, SINGTEX looks forward to returning in the autumn harvest season, celebrating the results of collective effort and the enduring bond between people and the land.
